Corporate History

1949 Established with capital of 1 million yen.
1961 Obtained capital participation from Hokkaido Gyoren (Hokkaido Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Association) and increased capital to 13 million yen.
1972 Became a wholly owned subsidiary of Hokkaido Gyoren.
1974 Increased capital to 50 million yen.
2008 Merged with Gyoren Shokuhin Co., Ltd., located in Tsukiji, Tokyo, with full funding by Hokkaido Gyoren and a new post-merger name of Gyoren Hokko, based in a head office in Osaka and a branch office in Tokyo. Increased capital to 90 million yen.
2011 Constructed new building at current location of head office.
2018 Transferred Tokyo branch office to Shinkawa, Chuo-ku, Tokyo (present location).
2019 Renamed Tokyo branch office as Tokyo Head Office to form a dual head office system in Osaka and Tokyo.
Obtained registration for processing plant at Osaka Head Office that authorizes export of seafood to China.
Obtained CoC certification pertaining to MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) certification
2020 Introduced processing equipment (dried scallop auto filling machine, etc.) at processing plant in Osaka Head Office.
