Personal Information Guidelines
Gyoren Hokko Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Gyoren Hokko”) complies with laws and other rules, etc. concerning personal information and clearly specifies the privacy policy as set forth below.
Re: When Gyoren Hokko asks personal information
When Gyoren Hokko collects personal information, it will clearly specify the purpose of utilization to the extent possible. The scope of personal information to be collected shall not exceed the limit necessary for achieving the objectives of the collection. Gyoren Hokko shall obtain the customer’s consent when it collects personal information from any person other than the customer.
Re: Management and protection of personal information
When Gyoren Hokko manages the customers’ personal information, it will appoint a manager to conduct appropriate management and will endeavor to prevent the leakage to outside the company.
Furthermore, Gyoren Hokko will take safety measures at a proper and reasonable level against risks such as unauthorized access from external parties, loss, destruction or falsification, and endeavor to protect the customers’ personal information.
Gyoren Hokko may outsource the handling of personal information to an external party for the purpose of offering better services to the customers. In such a case, it will select a subcontractor (hereinafter referred to as the “Subcontractor”) and arrange necessary matters, including the management of personal information, confidentiality and prohibition of reprovision, by entering into an Outsourcing Agreement, etc. to avoid leakage, etc. of the customers’ personal information. It will cause the Subcontractor to ensure appropriate management.
Utilization of personal information
Gyoren Hokko will use personal information provided by the customers mainly for the following purposes.
It will discard the provided personal information at the time when the utilization of personal information has completed and it is decided to be reasonably unnecessary.

Additionally, Gyoren Hokko uses personal information jointly with Hokkaido Federation of Fisheries Cooperative Association for the purpose of recording the responses to inquires or complaints from the customers relating to products, etc.

Re: Customer’s right to refuse
When Gyoren Hokko asks the customer to provide personal information, it will inform the customer in advance of the purpose thereof.
If the customer does not wish to provide personal information, he or she can refuse to provide personal information at his or her judgment. However, please note that if personal information is indispensable for a provision of service, Gyoren Hokko may not be able to offer such service.
Re: Disclosure of personal information
Gyoren Hokko will never disclose or provide the customers’ personal information without the consent of the customers to any third parties except to the Subcontractor; provided, however, that if disclosure is required by laws and regulations or disclosure is required by public organs such as a court or the police, Gyoren Hokko may disclose or provide personal information without the consent of the customers.
Re: Correction and deletion of personal information
If the customer desires to refer to or correct his or her personal information, Gyoren Hokko will meet it promptly within the reasonable range, when the customer contacts to the webmaster.
